Dr Sajida Hassan

Dr. Sajida Hassan is an accomplished psychologist with over 20 years of experience in child and adolescent psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in Child Psychology from the University of Leicester, UK, under the supervision of Prof. Panos Vostanis. She also earned a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. A double gold medalist in Clinical Psychology from the University of Karachi, she secured the first position in her academic achievements. Dr. Sajida is served as an Honorary Visiting Fellow at the Department of Psychology, University of Leicester (UK). She has led numerous training programs in child and adolescent psychology for educators, parents, and professionals since 2007. Additionally, she has completed the Art Therapy Foundation Course training from the British and Dubai Art Therapy Association and regularly conducts healing art training courses. Her expertise extends to international research collaborations with esteemed institutions, including the University of Leicester, the Wellcome Trust (UK), the Anna Freud Trust, and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) in partnership with WACIT (UK). Her dedication to research excellence earned her the Rights for Time Network, University of Birmingham, UK Research Award 2023, for her project exploring the transformation from trauma to resilience over time. With a strong commitment to psychological research and training, Dr. Sajida continues to contribute significantly to the field, empowering individuals and fostering mental well-being across diverse populations.
